Cities are in a constant process of development

They grow, they shrink, town districts change their functions and identities, open spaces become wasteland. The relationship between city centres and the outskirts of towns changes. These are the kinds of problem on which artists are focussing more and more. Read more

Exhibition and conference

"Changing Habitats" is organizing the exchange of experience amongst European art institutions, curators and artists. All art projects will be exhibited in the GAK and at points around the city of Bremen from 22 April to 29 May 2005. A conference with contributions from seven European countries will take place from 25 to 26 May 2005.
